Dear Friends and Community Partners,

We are writing to share that after several years of passionate and dedicated leadership, our Executive Director, Sarah Weber-Ogden, will be stepping down from her role, effective June 1, 2025.

Sarah has been a steadfast leader during a transformative time for Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon. Under her guidance, the organization deepened its commitment to food justice, built stronger relationships with communities most impacted by hunger, and advanced bold policies to remove systemic barriers to food access. Her leadership has left an indelible mark on our organization, and we extend our deepest gratitude for her unwavering commitment to a hunger-free Oregon.

Transitions like these are important moments in the life of an organization. While change can bring uncertainty, it also opens the door to new possibilities. This is a time for reflection, appreciation, and renewal of purpose.

As we look to the future, we remain grounded in our mission: to work alongside those most impacted by hunger to create lasting systemic change. And we stay focused on our vision, a future where all Oregonians are free from hunger, living in communities rooted in food justice, food sovereignty, and equity at every level of the food system.

The Board of Directors, in partnership with our talented staff, will soon begin a thoughtful and inclusive search process for our next Executive Director. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and continuing our vital work without pause.

We know that real change is only possible when we work together, and we are grateful to be in community with you. Your support, advocacy, and partnership fuel our shared vision for a more just and nourishing Oregon.

With gratitude and resolve,
Danita Harris & Michael Stadther
