Hunger Free Kids Luncheon

Celebrate the contributions of corporations in Portland and beyond to ending hunger!

Join us as we recognize companies who have made pledges to our Hunger-Free Kids Initiative. We serve a delicious lunch, have a lively speaker, and celebrate our work together!

In 2018, more than 70 people attended lunch at Plaza del Toro, featuring a keynote by Portland Monthly Senior Editor Fiona McCann. Huge thank you to our lead sponsor Cambia Health and supporting sponsors Beneficial State Foundation, Columbia Bank, Susan Matlack Jones & Associates, Kaiser Permanente Thrive, and Legacy Health.

Bake to End Hunger

Bake to End Hunger is a food tasting event featuring local renowned chefs and restaurants coming together in support of ending hunger.

In 2018, we celebrated at the Portland Art Museum with more than two dozen chefs who made incredible sweet (and some savory!) treats for us all to taste. We also raffled off cakes and pies to lucky winners!

Thank you to all of our sponsors, vendors, and attendees. Special thanks to our partner Elephant’s Delicatessen, sponsors Shepherd’s Grain and Franz Bakery, and in-kind sponsors Feastly, Willamette Week, and Artful Venues.

Feast Portland

Hunger-Free Oregon is one of the beneficiaries of Feast Portland, one of the most renowned food festivals in the Pacific Northwest.

As a beneficiary, we receive part of the proceeds from events and other activities, as well as provide volunteers for events. It is an amazing partnership, and we are so grateful to be included!

Child Hunger Prevention Conference

Each year, we bring together people working in schools and community organizations to focus on how to prevent child hunger and support child nutrition programs.

In 2017, more than 80 partners from around the state joined us to learn about how to strengthen programs connecting kids and families to nutrition. Leaders from across the state met each other and learned from peers about best practices and innovative strategies. The conference was held at Chehalem Cultural Center.

Thank you to our sponsor Oregon Dairy and Nutrition Council for helping us bring keynote speaker Dayle Hayes!
