What We Do to End Hunger in Oregon

Task Force Projects

Child Nutrition Outreach: expanding participation in Summer Food, Child Care, and Afterschool Snack and Meals Programs.

Food Stamp Outreach: a statewide campaign to enroll more eligible Oregonians in the program by reducing barriers and simplifying the application process.

Legislative Updates : information on the Oregon State Legislature and the Federal Congress.

Measuring the Problem: promoting the need for improved state and local data collection and methods of measurement to find out who is hungry and how to meet the nutritional needs of all Oregonians. Recent studies and reports on hunger are available on our Resources page.

Cutting Red Tape: working to streamline existing programs and make them more accessible through recommended policy, legislative and regulatory changes

Maximizing Family Resources: developing strategies to ensure adequate social supports for low-income Oregonians at the state and federal level to promote stable families and healthy communities.
