Start Up and Expansion Grants for the Summer Food and At-Risk Afterschool Meal and Snack Program
About the Grants
In July 2013, the Oregon State Senate passed House Bill 2729 allowing grant funds to be appropriated to encourage increased participation in the Afterschool Meals &Snacks Program.
In March of 2014, House Bill 4090 was passed to include summer meals (The Summer Food Service Program and Seamless Summer Option in the National School Lunch Program).
A total of $448,224 in grant funds is available for Sponsors during the 2013-2015 biennium.
Grant funds have increased from a maximum of $10,000 to a maximum of $20,000 per sponsoring organization.
The next grant deadline is December 15th, 2014.
